When women think of turning 50, chances are they aren’t thinking of being the most fabulous they can be. In my case, I haven’t been more excited about anything and I haven’t felt more fabulous in my life.
First off, thank you to our great staff! I had a birthday event at both of our lovely locations filled with music, food, champagne, and family. I must say they were both a huge success and a complete blast. Just like the saying, “Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.” Thank you ladies and Dr. Hall, of course.
After our events wrapped up, my birthday week officially kicked off. We had a flight out of Austin to St. Lucia at 5:30 AM. Yes, that was an early morning but totally worth it. We sailed from St. Lucia to Grenada with our kids and close friends. There isn’t anything more special than the time you get to spend with your family and friends simply hanging out and relaxing (with no cell service). When we arrived in Grenada we stayed a few days at Laluna Resort, the same place we spent our honeymoon and our 10 year anniversary. It was definitely a trip to remember and the perfect way to celebrate my birthday.
After arriving back in Austin and getting back to work, my husband surprised me with a surprise Birthday party with our extended family. While the party was amazing I think the best part was hearing all the stories from our staff about all the work he put into the planning and execution. Thank you everyone for all the well wishes and love over the past few weeks, you all sure know how to make a lady feel special!!
