Cellulite, that dimpled, cottage cheese look to the thighs, is a common bane for women after pregnancy. Until now, there were few effective ways to treat this condition, leaving women self-conscious about appearing in shorts or bathing suits. Now, an innovative treatment gets to the root of the cellulite problem, eliminating that unsightly dimpling in just one treatment session.

Causes of Cellulite

Cellulite is a problem caused by a combination of factors. Weight gain, hormonal fluctuations and age can all play a role. Genetics are another factor, which means if your mother had cellulite, you will be more likely to have it as well. The factors lead to the tightening of fibrous bands underneath the surface of the skin, while adjacent fat cells enlarge and push against the skin.

Treating cellulite must involve targeting both the fibrous tissue and the enlarged fat cells to achieve the best results. Most treatments have primarily concentrated on reducing fat, which does not eliminate the entire problem. Cellulaze is the first treatment that addresses both of these issues, while creating thicker, smoother skin.

What is Cellulaze?

Cellulaze is a revolutionary laser treatment that attacks cellulite at its core. The unique SideLaze laser fiber works in the following ways:

  • Releases fibrous bands causing the dimpling effect
  • Reduces small fat pockets creating skin bulges
  • Tones and tightens skin in the area, creating a smoother look

What is the Procedure Like?

Cellulaze is performed by Dr. Hall on an outpatient basis, using local anesthesia. A narrow laser fiber is inserted directly into the areas of cellulite via tiny incisions no bigger than the tip of a pen. Laser energy can then be delivered below the skin’s surface, releasing fibrous bands and reducing fat cells.

The entire Cellulaze procedure typically takes approximately 60-90 minutes to complete, depending on the size of the treatment area. You will not feel any discomfort during the procedure. After treatment, you will have some mild bruising and swelling around the treatment sites. Dr. Hall will give you a compression garment to wear to reduce these side effects and promote healthy blood flow and healing to the area. You will be able to return to work and other activities a day or two after the procedure.

Results will be seen right away and will continue to improve in the months following treatment. Cellulaze should offer long-lasting results in just one treatment.
