I think the key to staying younger is all about combination therapy. Those are my famous words, I think it applies to so many aspects in our lives. When it come to staying younger I am a believer in balance. As a working Mom this is very hard to always abide by. I certainly give it my best shot but do have to remind myself of the importance and I am also reminded by my husband when I am not doing so well.
I think what goes into your body is so important. Some of the things I like to watch is the amount of sugar I consume, I eat as much organic as possible, especially the “dirty dozen”, processed food, carbs & gluten. I live by the 85/15 rule, which means it is about moderation. I LOVE food and fine dining so I DO NOT live by this every single day. I am also a huge believer in exercise, again I could be much better but give it my best shot. This is another way I think “combination therapy” comes into play. I like to mix what kind of exercise I am doing- cross fit, spin, yoga, walking and jogging.
I am also a believer in supplements, I do like to get a lot from my food but think we need more.
I also believe in the power of prayer and quit time. I am personally touched by reading the Bible, daily devotionals and listening to Praise and Worship.
I am not claiming to be an expert in any of these ares I am just sharing what helps me personally.
