It is hard to believe our kids have started Middle School! Oh my goodness where has the time gone? I can’t believe how fast they are growing up. It seems like just yesterday they started the first grade. Now 5 years later we have six class periods, three lockers, gym clothes, gym lockers, and the need for more electronics. (Two days into middle school and the triplets are already asking for cells phones)…
Middle school orientation has come and gone, and I had a blast helping the girls decorate their locker. My goodness, the things these kids have at their fingertips. Who would have known you can now buy chandeliers for their lockers? Hunter of course wasn’t that interested.
Middle school for most kids can be exciting because they get to explore the option of organized sports such has football, basketball, or track. Hunter on the other hand was able to get a PE waiver. Instead of playing middle school sports he gets to leave school an hour early to play at least 15 hours of golf each week. Who knows, maybe he will be the next Jordan Spieth!
Although the year is off to a great start, I am a little nervous about what the homework load is going to look like, or what changes my kids are going to go through. I do however know I’m very blessed that my husband is so involved with our kids. He’s our family cheerleader and bedtime prayer warrior. If you schedule an appointment with my husband, just know he won’t see you until he gets our kids on the bus each morning. Even on his surgery days!
