Laser Hair Removal
Candela GentleLASE Plus
We utilize an Alexandrite laser with a wavelength of 755 for hair reduction. This Candela GentleLASE Plus has a patented Dynamic Cooling Device that’s fast and efficient. A short burst of cooling spray is emitted just prior to the laser pulse allowing rapid treatment with minimal discomfort. Over the course of eight treatments the laser damages the hair follicle while it is in the active growth phase, thus preventing it from growing again. Since the laser is attracted to pigment, the hair being treated must have pigment to be susceptible to the laser energy. Blonde and grey hair does not respond well. In addition, the laser cannot differentiate between pigment in the skin and the pigment in the hair; therefore, we ask our patients to refrain from sun exposure and self-tanners while being treated with the laser. The hair needs to be present for the laser to identify it, so we also ask patients to refrain from waxing, plucking and using depilatories while being treated. Shaving is acceptable. Treatments should be every four to six weeks.
Soprano XL
Safe and effective on all skin types, this revolutionary new module with “IN-Motion” technology, gently heats the dermis to a temperature that damages the hair follicle and prevents re-growth. The SopranoXL uses a powerful gold-standard diode treatment head with SHR and DualChill™ techniques that protect the epidermis. Thus, the SopranoXL is virtually pain free and no analgesics are required. With faster, comprehensive hair removal, patients can enjoy consistent results even on large areas such as legs, arms, backs and abdomen. As with other lasers, hair must be visible to treat. Eight treatments are recommended every four to six weeks.
Forever Bare BBL
Forever Bare BBL is a comfortable treatment to remove unwanted hair for all skin types. The treatment uses pulsed light to deliver photothermal energy causing the hair follicle to stop producing hair without damaging the surrounding tissue. It typically requires 6 to 8 treatments applied between 4 to 8 weeks apart depending on the area being treated. During the treatment a thin layer of clear gel is applied to the skin and the BBL energy is delivered with a cooled applicator so there is minimal to no discomfort and virtually no downtime. Prior to being treated, it is important to shave the area being treated. It is also important to avoid sun exposure, tanning, and the use of self-tanners while undergoing treatments with lasers.
