If you are dissatisfied with how your breasts look, either because they have always been too small or pregnancy has reduced their volume, you may be considering cosmetic enhancement. At Hall Plastic Surgery & Rejuvenation Center, we have helped many women improve their looks and boost their confidence through augmentation. We offer free initial consultations so that we can explain the procedure and make sure that you are good candidate. Everyone here does all we can to help you feel relaxed and comfortable at our center. We treat our patients right!
The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis, and we will use either silicone breast implants or saline-filled shells to augment your breasts. Your body type, breast type and the results you desire will determine placement and size of the breast implant shells. You can be back to light-duty tasks the next day, and after about two weeks you can return to all normal activities. We will also schedule a follow-up visit to make sure that everything is healing well.

It is confidence in the way you carry yourself. It is having some control over body image that allows your inner beauty to shine.
Breast augmentation is a positive option for women who have a specific goal of improving their body image and a realistic vision of how it can enhance their lifestyle. It is for women who are uncomfortable with the unflattering fit of clothing or swimwear designed for a different body type. It is for women who seek to restore volume after weight loss or pregnancy.

Breast Implants: The Procedure
Breast Implants in Austin TX | Dr Jeffrey Hall Dr Jeffrey Hall explains the breast implant procedure at Hall Plastic Surgery of Austin, Texas.
About the Surgery
Breast augmentation surgery is a cosmetic procedure using medical grade, biocompatible breast implant silicone-shells filled with saline or silicone gel. Clinical studies have shown that both saline filled or gel filled implants are safe. The augmentation is performed as an outpatient procedure in a fully equipped surgical facility. Other notable points:
- No drug or non-surgical procedure can replicate the results of breast augmentation surgery
- Results are immediately visible and will become more defined as swelling subsides
- The procedure should not interfere with breast feeding or other natural functions.
- Placement and size considerations will be determined by body type, breast anatomy and desired results.
Throughout the process, you’ll have questions and Dr. Hall will provide all the information you need to make informed decisions.
Dr. Hall uses the Natrelle™ Collection of implants as well as the Mentor® implants and works with each patient to find her ideal fit. The Natrelle™ Collection is a product of Allergan’s 25-year history of breast aesthetics, science, and innovation. Mentor has a long history of clinical studies including studies in cooperation with the FDA. Dr. Hall is accredited with both Natrelle and Mentor for the use of their FDA-approved implants.
Your safety is our first priority and we take extraordinary measures to ensure your comfort and complete satisfaction. However, no medical procedure is without risk. Dr. Hall fully explains any potential concerns during consultation so that every patient is confident and comfortable about the prospects for a healthy, worry-free breast augmentation. Possible complications and side effects include, breast discomfort and swelling, bleeding, infection, improper healing of incisions, changes in breast sensitivity, implant leakage or rupture, skin wrinkling over area of implant, and anesthesia-related risks. In some cases, a treatable condition called capsular contraction may occur in which scar tissue causes the breast to feel firmer than normal. Pregnancy, menopause or changes in weight may alter the appearance of breasts at any time. Patients should know that implants are not guaranteed for a lifetime and may require replacement.
In most cases, patients can return to light-duty tasks the next day and be back on the job within a week. After two weeks, no restrictions are necessary and activities can return to normal. Patients can resume intimate contact in 4 to 6 weeks. Incisions, while visible, are inconspicuously located and will fade substantially over the first year.
Swelling and some discomfort are to be expected following breast enlargement surgery. Dr. Hall will provide specific instructions on medications, cleaning, dressing and bandages used in the recovery process. A follow-up visit will be scheduled usually within a few days after surgery. Now available in our office, the IDEAL IMPLANT® Structured Breast Implant, a new third type of implant that is filled with saline, but has an internal structure to make it behave as if filled with silicone gel. The IDEAL IMPLANT contains a series of nested shells that provide support to the edges and control fluid movement to prevent bouncing. The result is an implant that combines certain key features and benefits of both saline and silicone gel implants.
Like the saline implant, the filler is only saline, which women like for peace of mind in case of a rupture/deflation. Like the silicone gel implant, it has a natural feel, but without the risk of silent rupture and FDA-recommended MRI scans – women can simply look in the mirror and know their implants are intact. In addition, clinical trial results at 8 years show the IDEAL IMPLANT has a lower rate of capsule contracture and a lower rate of rupture than silicone gel or saline implants for primary augmentation.
Please call us today to come in for a consultation. Do your own side-by-side comparison of the IDEAL IMPLANT to the silicone gel implant.
