Is an Arm Lift Right for You?

Living in Austin means plenty of opportunities to wear sleeveless tops, but do you feel confident enough in your arm muscle tone to do so? If you’re considering an arm rejuvenation procedure, take a look at the skin along the underside of your upper arm. Is it tight and toned, or does it appear loose and sagging? If it’s the latter, you might be an ideal candidate for an arm lift.

The best candidates for this procedure are non-smokers in good health who have loose or sagging skin in the upper arm region. During your initial consultation with Dr. Hall, he will thoroughly evaluate your case, discuss your goals, and determine the most appropriate course of action to help you achieve the desired results.

The Arm Lift Procedure

While exercise and a proper diet can strengthen and tone the muscles of the upper arm, they cannot remove excess fatty deposits or tighten loose skin. Brachioplasty addresses these issues by removing excess skin and fat between the underarm and elbow, creating a more toned, proportional appearance.

During the procedure, an incision is made on the underside of the arm, making any resulting lines less noticeable. The incision may run from the underarm to just above the elbow, with the exact length and placement depending on the amount and location of excess tissue. Supportive tissue is then tightened and reshaped with internal sutures, resulting in a smooth and toned arm contour. Liposuction may be used alongside the procedure to remove additional fatty tissue.

The surgery is performed in our office surgical center, typically under general anesthesia.
