Get the Abdomen you Desire with a Tummy Tuck
Achieving a flat, well-toned abdomen like those seen in magazines and movies can be challenging. Factors such as heredity, past pregnancies, weight fluctuations, or posture issues can result in a protruding or sagging abdominal region, affecting your confidence and self-esteem. While dieting, crunches, and abdominal exercises can help, they may not always provide the firm, contoured abdomen you desire. A tummy tuck, however, can reduce fatty tissue and tighten the area to help achieve these goals.
Is a Tummy Tuck Right for You?
If you are dissatisfied with the contour of your body due to a protruding or sagging abdominal area, a tummy tuck can make a significant difference. Consult with Dr. Hall to discuss how this procedure can enhance your appearance and boost your confidence. Ideal candidates are healthy, moderately fit, non-smokers who are near their optimal body weight. They should also have a positive attitude and a realistic understanding of the potential results.
The Tummy Tuck Procedure
A tummy tuck, or abdominoplasty, is a surgical procedure that removes excess fat and skin from the abdominal region, helping to restore weakened or separated muscles and creating a firmer, more toned body contour.
The process begins with a consultation and evaluation session where Dr. Hall will assess your case, discuss your goals, explain your options, and determine the appropriate course of action.
During the procedure, a low, transverse incision is made between the pubic line and navel to remove excess fat and skin and perform any necessary muscle repairs. The length of the incision depends on the amount of fat and skin being removed. Usually, a second incision around the navel is required to remove additional excess skin. For more dynamic results, the procedure can be combined with liposuction, a decision that should be made in consultation with your doctor.
Changes will be immediately noticeable, though the overall results will become more defined over time. The tummy tuck is performed as an outpatient procedure done under general anesthesia in the office surgical suite
