Our practice is the first in Austin to offer this advanced technology in skin tightening. Who is a good candidate for Ultherapy?

There is a broad range of people who are excellent candidates for Ultherapy, but typical candidates are men and women with mild to moderate skin laxity. While Ultherapy is not a replacement for surgery, there are many people who would benefit from some lifting, toning, and tightening but are not ready for surgery. This procedure can also be wonderful for younger candidates who are looking to take preventative measures with their skin and the aging process.

The Ultherapy procedure

The Ultherapy procedure is a simple procedure that can be done in the office depending on the scope of the area being treated. The hand-held device directs focused ultrasound energy selectively into the dermal layer as well as the skin’s deep support structures without affecting intervening tissue. This is done around the eyes, cheeks, and upper neck. The heat this creates triggers the body’s natural response mechanism, which is to rejuvenate tired collagen. Over time, weak collagen is reorganized and strengthened with the growth of new collagen which tightens and lifts the skin. Follow-up visits will be scheduled post-procedure to track your improvements.

What does it feel like?

Comfort thresholds vary from person to person. There can be discomfort while the energy is being delivered, but it is temporary and a signal that the collagen-building process has been initiated. Treatment over bony areas tends to be more uncomfortable (forehead, jaw line). We will ask for your feedback during the treatment to adjust comfort measures as needed.

What happens after treatment?

You may return to normal activities immediately. Any flushing or redness should resolve within a few hours. It is not uncommon to experience slight swelling for a few days following the procedure. Some tingling or tenderness to the touch is also normal and temporary.

How is Ultherapy different from lasers?

• Lasers typically involve improving superficial layers of the skin (e.g. fine lines, wrinkles, pigment changes)
• Ultherapy addresses the deep skin layer AND the foundational layer addressed in cosmetic surgery that lends support to the skin
• With ultrasound, we can bypass the upper layers of the skin and deliver the right amount of energy at the right depths to contour and then ultimately lift the soft tissue
• The use of ultrasound also allows us to see where the energy will be delivered

What kind of results can I expect?

Full effect of the treatment will build gradually over the course of 2 to 3 months. Visible effects include lifting and toning of sagging skin. In the FDA-reviewed clinical trial, 9 out of 10 patients had a noticeable, significant lift of the brow.  They also reported better fitting skin in other areas of the face and neck.

SkinTyte

SkinTyte is a tightening treatment suitable for all skin types.

It’s a non-invasive heating treatment to stimulate collagen production in the tissue. Tthere is no downtime, so you may resume your regular activities immediately following treatment.

FaceTite/BodyTite – Minimally-invasive Treatments For Contouring

Both FaceTite and BodyTite are technologies developed by InMode to contour the body without large surgical scars or lengthy downtime. They deliver directional RF energy to the tissues that cause a tightening effect which studies report up to a 36% tissue contraction. These results previously were only achievable by surgical excision. BodyTite is used to treat larger areas of the body such as the stomach, flanks, breast, thighs and arms. FemiLift

The technology in Morpheus 8 is ideal for combating some of our most common aging conditions. This fractional treatment stimulates collagen production for better skin support while helping to smooth out the texture of the skin. By targeting the deeper layers of the skin, the skin’s own building blocks will reorganize themselves in a natural anti-aging process leaving you with smoother, firmer skin. This treatment is ideal for multiple areas of the body as well as the face. Some areas of concerns that are treatable include the arms, stomach and those aging knees.

Who is a good candidate?

Morpheus8 can be used on all skin types. The properties allow even darker skin tones to be treated without the risk of post inflammatory hyperpigmentation.

How many treatments do I need?

Depending on the condition of the area to be treated, 1-3 treatments are usually recommended. At Hall Plastic Surgery and Medspa we recommend a least a series of 3 spaced a month apart

How quickly will I see results?

The first signs of results can appear after the first few weeks, but will continue to improve over the next 6 months.
